events / marketing manager

As part of the management team your first priority will be to act as an “Assistant Manager” to the GM in order to support the owners in the management of the restaurant’s operations. As an Events and Marketing Manager you will oversee both the Common Theory & 52 Remedies concepts and help push the brands forward. You will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for concepts, including digital marketing planning, and deployment of strategies and tactics across social media, digital and creative design functions. In charge of planning and managing our event inquiries, events' calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with guests. Executing events and insuring staff and guests are satisfactory with quality and service.

Requirements:
• Minimum 2+ years as an Assistant Manager, Event Manager, Catering Manager, Event Supervisor, Catering Sales Manager, or comparable hospitality management role in a restaurant with high volume sales.
• Previous event sales experience required.
• Solid understanding of event revenue generation.
• Proven track record of sales performance along with marketing/prospecting programs that drive event revenue.
• Proven ability in leadership, communication, and negotiating skills.
• Passion for food and beverage.
• Commitment to providing excellent service to guests and support to staff members.
• Organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, and Excel.
• Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with FOH and BOH team, clientele, and vendors.
• Knowledge of basic safety, health, and sanitation standards.
• Positive attitude.
• Flexible schedule to support the needs of the business.
